For over thirteen years now, Surya Shibir is regarded as the premier destination for summer camps for diverse participant group and school children. Students not only enjoy the experience, they actually look forward to have summer or winter Camp experience it every year.
Aimed at making students more courageous, confident and creative, our winter and summer camps seek to strengthen their capabilities -from physical stamina to intellectual skills, from environmental awareness to concentration ability. These camps offer great experience for kids in bird watching. They are fascinated to see the variety of colourful birds and get to know a very interesting information about birds. At Surya Shibir, Camp for school children are thoroughly planned and professionally conducted, where all activities are closely supervised by experts. Appropriate safety measures are taken, with doctor available on call.

Camp Leaders and Instructors
Dattatray T. Pandit
Mr Pandit is in charge of Adventure Activities and Team Building programmes. He did a basic mountaineering course from WHMI, Manali, followed by an advanced course from NIM, Uttarkashi in 1994.
Mr Pandit has been working as sports teacher in Muktangan School, Pune for the last 29 years.
Camps for Creating Ecological Awareness
Urbanization and industrialization are exhausting the earth's resources alarmingly. Also, they are upsetting the planet's ecological balance. As responsible citizens, it is our duty to help preserve our rich environmental heritage.
Camps at Surya Shibir are structured so as to provide excitement to participants while creating awareness about the importance of energy conservation and environmental preservation.
Thick vegetation, deep valleys, steep climbs, sharp curves, vast open spaces and natural water bodies located within and nearby the camp site make it easy to engage in a variety of adventure sports. After the morning session, participants return to the Dining Hall for lunch. After lunch, when the sun is at the zenith, the children gather under the cool shade of the trees to engage in interesting crafts or learn about city farming or solar cells.
Throughout the day, the leaders guide the participants and closely supervise their activities. Adequate safety measures are taken, including carrying a first aid kit. An experienced Doctor is available on call.

Post dinner session
Activities like antakshari, lecture from experts, debate, camp fire etc. are conducted randomly every night after dinner. Experts deliver lectures on flags, snakes, surrounding flora and fauna etc.
